Generating Completion Certificates from the Manage Learners > Completions Area

This would be helpful for customer service. We occasionally hear that a learner is having difficulty printing their completion certificate(s) due to personal/corporate firewalls, which requires us to reset their password and login on their behalf to generate a copy. Can the ability to generate the certificates be added for admins in the Manage Learner > Completions and Section > Roster areas?

  • Hi Perry -- I think an email option is a great feature as well that should definitely mitigate firewalls and provide additional benefit to the learner, but from our perspective an admin capability would still be very helpful as well. They are definitely related, but one is focused on self-service (certainly preferred), while the other is focused on support when a learner has already reached out to us. Maybe there's a middle ground to leverage the same email functionality, but also expose an "email certificate to learner" button to admins? My only concern with the email option is that notifications currently are sent from do-not-reply@learnsomething.com. We can configure the sender's display name, but not the email address, which we find a bit uncomfortable. - Matt Kamen
