As previously discussed, we are adding customization options to the enrollments widget. Starting with the release of Sprint 58, organizations will be able to create categorization tabs on the enrollments widget allowing them to control which enrollments are shown in each of the tabs. This allows organizations to break away from the default categorization of content on the enrollments widget (subscriptions, conferences, certifications and regular learning products) and instead organize the educational content akin to their own nomenclature and actual usage of these product types.

Example Screenshots

Below is a screenshot of the enrollments widget that has been customized to show three tabs, each filtering to show different enrollments.

Moving Forward

By default your enrollments widget will have a single Enrollments tab showing the content in the same manner as it is shown today. If you choose to customize your enrollments widget by adding additional categorization tabs, then the legacy Subscription and Conferences area that was shown above the enrollments tab will be hidden from view. The subscription and conference items are already showing within the enrollments tab, so the learner isn't going to lose access to their content. Additionally, starting with Sprint 60, those two legacy areas will officially be removed from the enrollments widget which provides your organization time to manage the transition and implement any additional categorization tabs that you choose.

Key Takeaways

  • Starting with the release of Sprint 58, the Enrollments Widget will allow you to create your own tabs, which allows you to categorize the enrollments as you see fit. When ready, publish your website to make the changes effective on Live.
  • Adding any customization to the Enrollments Widget immediately hides the legacy Subscription and Conference areas that were shown above the enrollments area.
  • With the release of Sprint 60 (which is two sprints after this feature is introduced), the legacy Subscription and Conference area will be removed entirely from the enrollments area.
  • If you do nothing, the only change for the Learner will be that the legacy Subscription and Conference area will no longer be visible. Their associated enrollments are already showing up in the main Enrollments area and will continue to do so within the default Enrollments tab. They won't lose any access to their content.

Jim - I took a peek at the way you structured your tabs. It looks like you were really able to organize your content for your learners in a way that makes sense for your audience. Nicely done! :)
