Our number-one customer care call regarding LMS issues is from users who think they have watched all of a webcast video but did not receive a completion. I'm thinking that by displaying the amount of time they have watched/total time required we could inform the user more about their status. For instance, if they can see that they have spent 47:36 on a video and the total video length is 49:23, they know they just need to watch about two more minutes to finish. This might be complicated for set-ups in which a % of the video must be viewed, but we currently only use 100%. In any case, I think providing SOME information would be better than none, because the user might spend an hour and a half on the video and think none of the time is recorded since the status bar/activity completion displays as all-or-nothing. I instructed our customer care team on how to view time spent on an activity from the admin view, but it would be great if users could see the amount of time they spent on the activity for themselves so they know it's being tracked accurately.

Thanks David... I agree. We will look into ways where we can bring that visibility to the user somehow and we will post back here when we've come up with some concrete ideas.

@David We are adding a "Watched: 43 minutes" message below the video so they can see that progress is being made in the activity. Once they've watched the required % then the message will change to "Completed".

This is great! Thanks for adding this. I think this will be a big help.
