For the video library, is it on the drawing board to allow us to delete videos that were uploaded in error or no longer in use?

  • Sara Charles

Hi Matt, that's a great question! I'm sure that as you've been working in your Learner Community sandbox you've probably uploaded some videos that you don't want to be part of your live portal. Currently, we can help with this behind the scenes if you send a request to remove something. When you have a live portal, it can get a little tricky if videos are being used in multiple products or pages and you may sometimes want to "replace" videos rather than delete them. We are open to looking into this feature down the line.

Hi, Sara. Thank you for the information regarding Sprint 51! I was wondering if you could clarify a couple points regarding the Acclaim Badging integration. Through the integration, will an Acclaim account be created automatically for Learner Community users? Also, I thought I heard reference to Acclaim feeding into LinkedIn; can you confirm whether this is the case and would that happen automatically, provided the e-mail address is the same in LinkedIn as it is in the Learner Community portal?

Acclaim lets people centrally collect and manage badges that have been issued by a variety of systems, including Learner Community. Its focus is specifically on badges that are digital versions of actual credentials--not "fun" badges like the ones available in this community.

More details are coming, but the basic process: Clients create a credential badge in Acclaim, and then create a linked badge in LC to award it when appropriate. LC notifies Acclaim when a learner earns that badge, then Acclaim notifies the learner. The learner chooses whether to create an Acclaim account (which is independent/owned directly by the learner).

Using Acclaim, the learner controls whether he wants that credential visible to the public. Every credential and profile on Acclaim has a unique URL that can be embedded on a resume or website. Acclaim also offers seamless integration with several popular social and professional networking platforms (such as LinkedIn) for the display of credentials.
