Sprint 83 was released on Thursday, 7/21/16, and included the following new features and enhancements:

NEW

  • Attestation Activities: A new learning activity has been added for learning products. When creating a new Attestation activity, the administrator will define instructions for the learner to follow. The learner will then confirm that they performed the activity by checking a box.
  • Product Catalog & Section Enrollment Options: You now have the option to configure your learning products to display as a list of sections in catalogs and on the product detail pages. The list is dynamically populated using start and end dates specified on each section. You can control which products support section based enrollments and which sections are displayed to the learner. Using this new functionality users are able to enroll in specific sections, or add them to their cart.
  • Self-Registration with Access Code: Learner Community portals that use native login and native group management can now have the ability for learners to self-register with an activation code. The activation code will automatically place the learner in the appropriate group. Group administrators will be notified via the notification digest when a learner registers. Additionally the portal admins can be configured to lock out learners after a period of time which will require them to specify their activation code again in order to log in.
  • Manage Groups: The native group management feature now supports moving a group from one parent group to another. When moving a group, it will remain in the same level and any sub groups will be moved along with it. Also, all of the affected learners will be updated automatically to reflect any changes in the group hierarchy.

ENHANCEMENTS

  • Gated Certifications: Similar to activity gating for learning products, certification products can now be configured to require the learning product steps to be completed in order.
  • Assignments and Prior Completions: A new option has been added for calculating the days for the acceptance of prior completions. You may now choose between the window being based on the day when the learner receives the assignment or when the assignment is enabled.
  • Drop Box Activity: The drop box activity for learning products can now be configured to auto complete when then learner makes a submission. The submission will not notify sections administrators about the submission and grading is not required. However, section administrators may still score the submission via the learner's gradebook in the section's roster.
