I'd like to add it as resources for the product, but can't because they are not files, most times are webpages. I tried adding to the activities as an external URL but it looks weird, because it is not an activity, it is something that learners can access if they need/want more info.

Wouldn't it be great if the "Resources" could also host external URLs?

How do you usually add references materials and resources that are webpages?

I agree. We've used external URL (as optional activity) in the past, but it doesn't fit quite right and is almost a distraction within the course activities workflow. This would be particularly helpful for us to direct users to informational areas of our public website and intranet that constantly change with new statistics, best practices, etc. For staff trainings, we also prefer to host reference documents in the cloud (usually Google Drive) that can be constantly updated without the need to redistribute PDFs, Word docs, etc. The idea that a "resource" can only be defined as a file to be downloaded seems very limiting, but perhaps the intent from the developers was more of a "handouts" section and the label is a bit off target.

We've discussed this and think it is a good idea. We believe we can provide this feature in Sprint 71.

That's great! Looking forward to it!

In case you haven't seen the sprint notification, we have implemented the ability to add URL resources.
