Hi Matt, this topic remains on our enhancement list, but we do not have an ETA at this time. We do have the ability to upload DFXP/SMPTE-TT files directly to the Brightcove videos as another work around in the mean time.

Thanks, Perry. Can the team recommend a tool to create the CC files?

Hi Matt, unfortunately we do not have a specific tool to recommend because we are not to familiar with creating closed captioned files. One of our associates has done some research on the topic and found that, while Brightcove has the ability to attach the files and play them accordingly, the way the captioning is displayed (font, background, etc.), makes it less than ideal to read. He recommended maybe finding another tool to instead embed the captioning in the video file itself rather than provide an accompanying file. Camtasia is an example of one of those tools. I also found this: http://www.encoding.com/closed-captioning/, as another alternative. I will do my best to answer any additional questions if you have them.
